Coffee 'Arabica'
Sizes Grown: 4 - 6
Coffee ‘Arabica’
Botanical Name: Coffea arabica
Common Name: Arabica Coffee Plant
Origin: Ethiopia
Color: Glossy green leaves; white flowers followed by red coffee cherries
Growth: Upright and shrubby, with a bushy habit that becomes tree-like over time
Arabica is the species behind most of the world’s coffee, but it also holds its own as a striking houseplant. The leaves are broad and glossy with softly wavy edges, and mature plants may flower indoors under the right conditions. While not fast-growing, it becomes more architectural with age.
Note: All parts of the plant, especially unroasted beans and leaves, are toxic to cats and dogs if eaten in large quantities.
